The 8th Asian University 3x3 Basketball Tournament concluded on the evening of June 14. Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT) edged out Tsinghua University with a narrow 22-21 buzzer-beating victory to claim the Asian title, earning the qualification to represent Asia at the FISU World University 3x3 Basketball League.This marks GDUT’s second consecutive championship at the tournament, having first secured the top honor in 2024.

Hosted by the Asian University Sports Federation, the event was co-organized by the Chinese University Sports Association and the Putuo District People’s Government of Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province. A total of 23 university 3x3 basketball teams from 9 countries and regions gathered at the Putuo Gymnasium to compete, with the tournament winner awarded the berth to compete on behalf of Asia in the global university 3x3 basketball competition.
