Delegation of University of California, Riverside Visited GDUT


On March 26th, Wang Jun, Vice President of the University of California, Riverside, and his delegation visited GDUT. Bai Jiangang, Secretary of CPC GDUT Committee, met with the delegation.

Bai Jiangang extended a warm welcome to the visit of UC Riverside. He pointed out that UC Riverside has provided great support in the international training of GDUT students, and the two universities have achieved fruitful results in joint program and student exchange programs. Based on the deep foundation of cooperation between the two universities, he extended a warm invitation to the teachers and students of UC Riverside to participate in the 2026 China-US Youth Future Climate Leaders Camp of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area jointly organized by Guangdong Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment and GDUT in June this year, so as to promote research cooperation between the youth of the two countries on global issues and help China-US people-to-people exchanges to go steady.

Wang Jun expressed his gratitude to GDUT for its warm reception, reviewed the cooperation between UC Riverside and GDUT over the years, and hoped to further deepen cooperation in joint student training, teacher exchange, cooperative scientific research and other aspects in the future. He said that he would actively call on teachers and students to participate in the 2026 China-US Youth Future Climate Leaders Camp of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area organized by GDUT, so as to promote multi-field and multi-level people-to-people exchanges and interactions between the two sides.

Zhang Yuguang, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC GDUT Committee and director of the Integrated Media Center, attended the meeting, and the head of the International Office attended the meeting. During this visit, the delegation held two seminars on the 3+1+1 undergraduate and master's joint program at Higher Education Mega Center Campus and Longdong Campus, respectively, to meet and exchange with students from various schools.
