Bai Jiangang pointed out in his speech that GDUT resolutely implemented the "1310" strategy by the CPC Committee of Guangdong Province, actively engaged in the "Double Hundred Action", emphasized research and development, promoted advantages and took strong responsibilities, and empowered and increased efficiency for the industrial development of "hundreds and thousands of projects". First, GDUT will promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. In recent years, it has accurately met the industrial development needs of Shantou, Meizhou, Heyuan, Yunfu and other related counties and towns, and combined the county resource endowment and industrial foundation to form a precise assistance mechanism of "one county, one policy" to promote the development of industries in the direction of intelligence, greening and integration; Second, GDUT will forge the engine of emerging industries, continue to make efforts in strategic emerging fields such as integrated circuits, artificial intelligence, deep-sea equipment, ecological environmental protection, etc., and gain the upperhand in scientific and technological competition. The university vigorously implemented the discipline upgrading project of the "1+2+3" climbing plan, built an innovation and entrepreneurship base in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, forged two discipline groups of high-end electronic manufacturing and green material chemical industry, and built three characteristic centers, including international advanced design, smart medical innovation, and transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
