President Qiu Xueqing emphasized that the establishment of Talent Development Strategy Research Institute of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area displayed the trust of the CPC Guangdong Committee and Guangdong Government in GDUT, and it is of great significance to serve the construction of talent highland in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and the strategy of strengthening the competitiveness of Guangdong Province with talents, and to enhance the social influence of GDUT. All relevant sections in GDUT should take the initiative to plan, take responsibility, and strive to build the institute into a first-class talent research think tank in China. First, it is necessary to strengthen top-level design, straighten out the system and mechanism, and optimize the organizational structure. Second, it is necessary to aim at the needs of discipline construction, speed up the progress of research team building, and form a stable research force and clear direction. Third, efforts should be made to promote the "6 + X" key projects and accelerate the building of influential think tank brands. Fourth, it is necessary to give priority to resource allocation to create favorable conditions for research institutes at the initial stage.
