Recently, the 12th Guangdong Provincial University Games came to a successful conclusion in Jinan University. The athletes of GDUT worked hard and won 61 medals, including 19 gold, 14 silver and 28 bronze, achieving a double breakthrough in the number of gold medals and total medals, breaking 7 records and setting a new record in the history of the school in the provincial university games. The GDUT delegation also won a number of collective awards: the first prize of the total score of Group A, the second prize of the total score of Group B, the award of outstanding organizational units, and the sports ethics awards, achieving a "double harvest" of competition results and spiritual civilization.
A total of more than 12,000 people from 151 colleges and universities in Guangdong participated in the competition, and the scale of participation reached a record high. A total of 517 gold medals were awarded, 58 records were broken for 85 times. GDUT sent 298 teachers and students to compete in 11 games in Group A and Group B.
