On April 12th, Du Chengming, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC GDUT Committee and Vice President of GDUT, led a delegation to Beijing to promote international educational cooperation with representatives of the University of East Anglia (UEA). Relevant responsible persons of the International Office, the School of Computer Science and the School of Art and Design attended the meeting.
Du Chengming thanked UEA for the efforts it made, introduced the development of GDUT and the latest progress of international cooperation, and hoped that both parties would jointly explore new modes and areas of cooperation.
Steven McGuire, Vice President of UEA, expressed his sincere thanks to the delegation of GDUT for their specific trip to Beijing to promote the cooperation, and provided a good opportunity for further exchanges between the two sides. He introduced UEA's characteristics and international advantages, and looked forward to working closely with GDUT in computer science, art design and other disciplines to improve students' international competence.
The two sides had in-depth discussions on cooperation in joint programs and talent training, and reached a number of consensus. This negotiation has laid a solid foundation for the cooperation between the two universities. In the follow-up, the two sides will speed up the signing of cooperation memoranda and agreement, continue to deepen cooperation in teaching, scientific research, personnel training and other fields, fully integrate the superior resources of both sides, improve the level of international education, and work together to cultivate high-quality talents that meet the needs of global development.
