The meeting was presided over by Du Chengming, Vice President. The meeting was attended by relevant responsible persons of the Office of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, the Publicity Department, the Graduate School, the responsible persons of various postgraduate training units, members of the school-level postgraduate education supervision group and relevant staff.

The main person in charge of the graduate affairs has presented an overall plan for the degree and postgraduate education in the new semester, and analyzed the key points and opportunities and challenges of various tasks from the aspects of preparation, enrollment and training of the College of Excellent Engineers, the application of the next round of new degree programs, and the awarding of engineering doctoral degrees.
Du Chengming made a concluding speech and put forward five work requirements: First, the interview of postgraduate admission should strictly follow the disciplinary requirements, and public opinion should be sorted out in time to ensure the smooth progress of the admission; The second is to take the construction of the College of Excellent Engineers as the starting point, closely focus on the engineering doctoral program, and make every effort to create a "shining card of GDUT" for postgraduate training to "strive to be first-class"; Third, we should attach great importance to the work of degree application, and all colleges should plan and integrate resources as soon as possible to ensure the authenticity, accuracy and completeness of application materials. Fourth, we should continue to expand the number of graduate students enrolled, especially strive to expand the doctoral enrollment, and strive to cultivate high-level talents; Fifth, it is urgent to introduce high-level tutors, optimize the ratio of tutors to students, improve the quality of postgraduate training, and push degree and postgraduate education to a new level.
