President Qiu Xueqing Led a Delegation to Hong Kong for Exchanges and Promoting Cooperation

 

        From December 4 to 6, President Qiu Xueqing led a delegation to visit Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong Zijin Cultural Group, Education University of Hong Kong and University of Hong Kong, and visited Hong Kong alumni.

         At the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Qiu Xueqing held talks with Lin Dahui, Chairman of the Council, Teng Jinguang, President, and Yang Liwei, Vice President. Qiu Xueqing thanked Teng Jinguang for inviting GDUT to perform the sitcom "Monument of Youth Seal" in Hong Kong, and exchanged views on related work arrangements, focusing on academic exchanges, international certification, joint training of students, joint research, etc., and agreed to promote further cooperation.

         At Zijin Culture Group, Qiu Xueqing met with Xue Lijun, deputy general manager of Zijin Culture Group, and Yuan Jian, vice president of Zijin Magazine. The two sides exchanged views on issues such as the performance of "Monument of Youth Seal" in Hong Kong and agreed to cooperate on the integration of Hong Kong youth into national development.

         At the Education University of Hong Kong, Qiu Xueqing talked with Li Zijian, president of the Education University of Hong Kong, on cooperation in cultivating students' innovative ability, and signed a cooperation framework agreement between the two universities. The two sides will jointly set up the Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Integration Service Center to carry out various innovation and entrepreneurship cooperation plans.

         At the University of Hong Kong, Qiu Xueqing met with Yin Xiaobo, Vice President of the University of Hong Kong, on joint training of graduate students, and joint application for international cooperation platforms.

         During their visit to Hong Kong, Qiu Xueqing also visited the representatives of alumni of GDUT in Hong Kong. Qiu Xueqing fully affirmed the work of the Hong Kong Alumni Association, and introduced to the alumni the progress made by GDUT in recent years in aspects of faculty building, personnel training, scientific research, international cooperation and exchanges, etc.
