Qiu Xueqing introduced the wide application of chemistry and chemical engineering in life to the students in a humorous way, pointing out that most chemical products come from non-renewable fossil resources, such as oil and coal. He skillfully compared the black color of oil and coal with the black color of industrial lignin, which aroused students' interest and curiosity about lignin. President Qiu, with the introduction of national policies and his own scientific research experience, told the students about the research achievement of industrial lignin in recent years.
