From November 8th to 10th, the "University Quality Education Research Session of 2024 Academic Annual Conference" jointly sponsored by the University Quality Education Research Branch of the Chinese Society of Higher Education, Guilin University of Electronic Science and Technology, and Beijing Institute of Technology took place in Guilin, Guangxi province. The theme of the annual meeting is " Education Powerhouse and Quality Education: New Challenges in the Era of Digital Intelligence".
At the invitation of the University Quality Education Research Branch of the Chinese Society of Higher Education, Zhu Weiwei, deputy secretary of the CPC GDUT Committee and vice chairman of the University Quality Education Research Branch of the Chinese Society of Higher Education, attended the meeting and delivered a keynote report entitled "Innovative Exploration of General Education Curriculum System Facing" New Engineering in the special forum for university leaders.
Zhu Weiwei shared GDUT’s experience of comprehensively exploring talent training methods for "new engineering" under the general trend of industrial transformation. Based on the realistic situation of the supply and demand of high-quality engineering and technical talents training, GDUT explores a new paradigm of outstanding engineering talents training. Based on the dimensions of industrial demand, discipline support, student growth, education and teaching, resource utilization, etc., we will implement the "5 I" path of integration of production and education, interdisciplinary, personality cultivation, innovation and entrepreneurship, and regional collaboration to improve the training quality.
