Recently, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education selected the outstanding cases of educational information system construction and application in Guangdong Province in 2024. The "Empowering first-class new engineering: creating a 5G smart campus AI-accompanied personalized evaluation ecosystem" (hereinafter referred to as the "AI-accompanied personalized evaluation ecosystem") project of GDUT was selected as an outstanding case.
In recent years, GDUT's information network and modern educational technology center has continuously promoted the high-quality development of information construction with the guiding concept of "six completeness and two modernizations" and "1 +2 +3 climbing plan discipline promotion project": based on the construction of "new infrastructure, new middle platform, new architecture and new ecology" of smart campus, the first 100G ultra-wide campus network in colleges and universities in the province has been built. The total export network bandwidth of the campus network is 67.6 G, ranking the top three in the province. A series of information application platforms such as Yunyu Classroom, Unified Portal, Online Service Center, High Computing Power Sharing High Performance Computing Platform and Smart Classroom have been launched. GDUT established the first "5G + Smart Campus" and the first "Smart Ecological Campus" in China with Guangdong Mobile and Guangdong Unicom respectively, and cooperated with Tencent to establish the first "New Streaming Media Experimental Center" in China, becoming a demonstration university for the integration application of "5G + Smart Education" of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Education.
