GDUT signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Zhongshan Eye Center

 

On September 12th, GDUT signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Zhongshan Eye Center of Sun Yat-sen University (hereinafter referred to as "Zhongshan Eye Center") to jointly work on the cross-research of medical and engineering integration of ophthalmology and visual health, and help the development of ophthalmology science and technology in China. The strategic cooperation between Guangdong Engineering and Zhongshan Eye Center is to promote the development of new productivity in hospitals with the two-wheel drive of "technological innovation" and "mechanism innovation", and jointly develop innovative practice with medical and industrial integration. The two parties will devote themselves to the research of early diagnosis and early warning technology of eye diseases based on artificial intelligence, actively promote the transformation and application of independently developed emerging ophthalmology technologies, and conduct in-depth research in advanced diagnostic and medical technology fields such as precision treatment.

In this strategic cooperation, the two parties will focus on the needs of the country and Guangdong Province in the field of ophthalmology, set up a high-level scientific research team, and tackle key core technologies. They will set up innovative interdisciplinary research institutes to speed up the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, cultivate high-quality talents in the field of joint medical-industrial integration. By building a new discipline system that integrates the development of new engineering and new medicine, it will provide strong support for the construction of high-level universities and hospitals and serve the needs of national strategic development.
