From August 18th to 20th, the "2024 Global Smart Education Conference" was held in Beijing. Experts, scholars and front-line teachers from the education, technology, and business fields from all over the world discussed ways of digital transformation and educational transformation, and shared new theories of smart education, new technologies, new ideas, and new achievements. Professor Hu Qintai, Secretary of the CPC GDUT Committee, was invited to attend the conference and gave a keynote speech titled "Enhancing the Awareness of Digital Transformation of Education and Deepening the Reform of Technology-Empowered Teaching".
"The digital transformation of education is the general trend, the need of development, and the direction of reform. It is necessary to use the digital transformation of education to empower the reform of education and teaching, achieve high-quality development of education, and build a powerful country in education." Hu Qintai analyzed the international education reform trend and the national education development strategy, systematically expounded the necessity and importance of the digital transformation of education around three aspects: "why", "what" and "how", and took Guangdong's "Love Seeds" model and GDUT's digital transformation action plan as examples to deeply discuss the path of the digital transformation of education.
