On July 30th, Xing Tao, deputy director of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Tan Jiebin, second-level inspector of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, visited GDUT. Lu Renquan, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC GDUT Committee, Vice President, Li Lijuan, professor of the School of Civil and Transportation Engineering, and heads of relevant departments accompanied the investigation.

Focusing on "enhancing the 'blue power' of the marine economy with new materials and promoting the high-quality development of the construction industry", Li Lijuan introduced the relevant content in detail from the practical significance of coastal material technology and promoting the industrialization of research and development results. Xing Tao fully affirmed the school-running characteristics of deep integration of Guangdong industry and GDUT development. He pointed out that GDUT has actively leveraged its advantages in science and technology and talents, and transformed scientific and technological achievements. In terms of talent training and social services, efforts should be continued to consolidate and expand the distinctive advantages of GDUT and produce more cutting edge technologies.
