"Biomass Utilization Joint Research Center (High-value Utilization of Industrial Lignin)" by Sinopec Refining and Chemical Engineering Group-GDUT officially Established

 

On July 5th, the inaugural meeting of "Biomass Utilization Joint Research Center (High-value Utilization of Industrial Lignin)" by Sinopec Refining and Chemical Engineering Group-GDUT was held. The cooperation agreement was formally signed and the unveiling ceremony was held, which indicated that both parties would give full play to their respective advantages and jointly promote the rapid transformation of scientific and technological achievements related to high-value utilization of industrial lignin. Sun Lili, chief scientist of Sinopec Group Corporation and academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Qiu Xueqing, president of GDUT, Jiang Dejun, secretary of the CPC committee and chairman of Sinopec Refining and Chemical Engineering (Group) Co., Ltd., Yu Lin, vice president, Lu Renquan, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC committee and vice president of GDUT, Feng Di, deputy general manager of Sinopec Refining and Chemical Engineering (Group) Co., Ltd., and others attended the ceremony.

 

Qiu Xueqing expressed a warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to all the leaders and guests present, saying that the research center will deeply integrate the disciplinary and research advantages of GDUT with the profound industrial foundation and market influence of Sinopec Refining and Chemical Engineering Group, and meet the national major strategic deployment and industrial development needs, focusing on overcoming key technical problems in the biomass utilization industry and promoting the industrialization process.

 The meeting held the unveiling ceremony of the "Joint Research Center for Biomass Utilization (High-value Utilization of Industrial Lignin)", which marked that the two sides will formally carry out in-depth cooperation in scientific research projects, personnel training, technical exchanges, etc., and jointly promote the rapid development of biomass utilization technology.
