On June 24, the Sino-US University Cooperation Meeting on 2024 "Sino-US Talent Training Plan" 121 Project, organized by the China Center for International Educational Exchange and the Guangdong International Education Exchange Association, was hosted by GDUT at its Dongfeng Road campus. Du Chengming, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee and Vice President of GDUT, and heads of the Exchange and Cooperation Office of the Provincial Department of Education, Guangdong International Education Exchange Association, China Center for International Educational Exchange and American Association of State Universities and Colleges attended the meeting. Representatives of 10 American universities and 26 Chinese universities attended this event.
In his speech, Du Chengming introduced the scale, discipline development and international educational cooperation and exchanges of GDUT. He said that GDUT and Ball State University launched the Sino-US Talent Training Program 121 project in 2023 and will begin formal enrollment this year. This project not only promotes academic exchanges between the two sides, but also provides strong support for cultivating international innovative talents and establishes a good foundation for cooperation. We look forward to more in-depth cooperation in the fields of talent training and joint scientific research in the future.
The person in charge of the Exchange and Cooperation Department of the Provincial Department of Education said that Guangdong encourages and supports multi-form and multi-faceted cooperation between Guangdong universities and American universities, and hopes that the two sides will explore more possibilities and common interests.
