From May 17th to 19th, the final review of the 14th "Challenge Cup" Guangdong College Students Startup Plan Competition was held at South China Agricultural University. Teams from GDUT stood out from 34,000 competitors from 157 colleges and universities in the province and won 12 gold medals awards, 4 silver awards, and 3 bronze awards, and they won the highest honor of the competition- "Challenge Cup", with first rank in the total team score.
Teams from GDUT closely revolve around the theme of this competition, "Cultivating New Productivity, Youth Entrepreneurship and Building Dreams", focusing on youth innovation practices, helping to solve high-quality development problems at the grassroots level, and injecting strong momentum into the development of counties and towns. Zhang Boai, a student from the School of Environmental Science and Engineering, was invited to share at the opening ceremony the story of their project "Orange planting-A New Potassium-Rich Soil Conditioner to Help Rural Revitalization" taking root in their homeland and helping the revitalization of their hometown, which fully reflects the the spirit of GDUT youth to take responsibility and help high-quality development.
