On May 8, Qiu Xueqing, the president of GDUT, inspected and guided the work of the Logistics Department. He went to the Science and Technology Innovation Training Building under construction, open air space in student community and canteen for field check and provided guidance.
In the Science and Technology Innovation Training Building, Qiu Xueqing got a detailed briefing of the laboratory's planning and design, equipment procurement, progressof interior decoration, and stationing preparations. He emphasized that the laboratory is an important place for scientific research and practical training, and it is of great significance to improve students' practical ability and innovation ability. We must attach great importance to the construction of the laboratory to ensure that the laboratory facilities are complete, the equipment is advanced, and the management is standardized. In particular, we must pay attention to strengthening the safety management of the laboratory, establish and improve the safety management system and emergency plan, ensure the safety of teachers and students during the experiment, and provide students with a good scientific research and training environment.
When inspecting the construction progress of the project at the site, Qiu Xueqing pointed out that this project is a major platform to support the development of national and local science and technology and manufacturing industries. At present, the main structure has been capped, marking that the project has achieved important phased results. Next, we must continue to work hard to strengthen quality and safety management, ensure that the project progresses smoothly according to the plan, deliver high-quality projects as soon as possible, and provide strong support for the school's scientific and technological innovation, personnel training, and interdisciplinary integration.
Afterwards, Qiu Xueqing came to the East District of Student Community, inspected the work of student dormitories and canteens in depth, and affirmed the logistics work. He pointed out that the living area is the most important activity place for students outside the classroom, and the living environment of teachers and students should be continuously improved. The overhead floor of the first floor of the student dormitory can be renovated to increase the space for students' activities and strengthen the function of environmental education. Food safety supervision, quality of dishes and service improvement should be continuously emphasized to meet the diverse dietary needs of teachers and students.
