The Winner of the 19th China Young Women Scientist Award from GDUT

 

    On April 28, the 19th China Young Women Scientist Award Ceremony co-sponsored by the All-China Women's Federation, China Association for Science and Technology, China National Committee for UNESCO and L 'Oreal China was held in Beijing.

 

    20 female scientists won the 19th China Young Female Scientist Award, and one of them from Guangdong was Tan Qian, dean and professor of the School of Ecological Environment and Resources of GDUTHer research field focuses on the cutting-edge scientific issues of the multi-resource element correlation mechanism and collaborative regulation mechanism linked by water in the river basin, analyzes the multi-scale ecological and environmental effects of water use in the river basin, and quantifies the multi-dimensional utilization efficiency of resources-environment-ecology-economy and their ompound risks. She have innovated the key technology system of simulation-diagnosis-optimization of complex water systems in changing environments, serving the major needs of national resource security and ecological environment protection. The results have been applied to the efficient and green allocation of water resources, the optimization of industrial structure, the control of eutrophication of rivers and lakes, the risk diagnosis and prevention and control of composite ecosystems in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and Northwest arid areas, etc.. She won the first prize of the Environmental Protection Science and Technology Award, The first prize of China Industry-University-Research Cooperation Innovation Achievement Award, etc.
