From April 15th to 17th, the 61st China Higher Education Expo was held in Fuzhou. GDUT was invited to participate in the Expo, focusing on the effectiveness of undergraduate talent training. Zhang Xueli, member of the Standing Committee of the school's party committee and deputy school-level cadre, was invited to attend the high-quality development report meeting of higher education and delivered a keynote speech.
In the achievement exhibition area, graphics as the main method and video was employed as the supplement to fully demonstrate the training results achieved in high-quality integrated circuit talent training, innovation and entrepreneurship, sports practice, aesthetic education and art practice, etc. in GDUT.
Zhang Xueli delivered a keynote speech titled "Developing New Quality Productivity, Cultivating Innovative Talents with High Quality—Exploration and Practice of the Path of Cultivating Top-notch Innovative Talents in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area". He pointed out that to develop new quality productivity, we should carry out reform and innovation in building an independent training system for talents and deepening the training of top-notch innovative talents. In recent years, GDUT has implemented the "1+2+3" climbing and supporting plan discipline improvement project, promoted the high-quality development of innovation and entrepreneurship education, explored and practiced the GDUT model, which features "innovation and entrepreneurship-oriented, combination of classroom teaching and practice, interdisciplinary, integration of production and education, Hong Kong and Macao collaboration", for training top-notch innovative talents in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.
