On March 8th, President Qiu Xueqing went to Longdong Campus for a field survey, accompanied by Du Chengming and Wang Zhenyou, members of the Standing Committee of the CPC GDUT Committee and Vice President of GDUT, as well as the heads of relevant units .
Qiu Xueqing went into the classroom to guide the teaching work, to learn about the teaching process, teaching methods, teaching effects and teaching facilities, communicated with teachers, encouraged teachers to actively explore and continuously improve the teaching skills. In the School of Management, Qiu Xueqing visited the renovation of featured spaces such as college square, gatehouse and image wall, investigated the demand of MBA and EDP special classrooms, and made arrangements for the renovation of ladder classrooms in the laboratory building. Qiu Xueqing also came to the plank road around the lake, canteen and other places to communicate cordially with teachers and students, ask about their study, work and life, learn about the latest situation of campus construction and logistics support, and seek common development strategies.
Qiu Xueqing emphasized that Longdong Campus is surrounded by mountains and rivers and enjoyed a beautiful environment. All departments and colleges should gather together, take advantage of the situation, actively mobilize resources from all parties, implement various work laid out in "First Meeting of the New Year" of GDUT, and strive to create a good atmosphere for educating people on campus. Firstly, we must keep in mind the duty and mission of educating people, optimize teaching content, innovate education and teaching methods, and implement the fundamental task of educating students with virtue. Secondly, we should take students as the foundation, guide the coordinated development of students' knowledge, quality and ability, pay attention to the all-round development of students' physical and mental health, and implement the overall goal of school personnel training. Thirdly, we should impart our hearts and feelings, strengthen refined management, continuously optimize the hardware conditions for running schools, improve management efficiency, and jointly build beautiful GDUT with the spirit of ownership, so as to contribute to the high-quality development of our university.
