At the beginning of the new year, the Frontier Forum on Artificial Intelligence Application and Medical Science Popularization, sponsored by Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Society of Artificial Intelligence and Automation and hosted by GDUT, was held at Hilton Wanfu Guangzhou on February 25th. A group of industry experts, scholars and industry leaders gathered to discuss the application of artificial intelligence in the field of medical science popularization, share cutting-edge research results and experiences, and promote the in-depth cooperation between the medical profession and the artificial intelligence industry.
The forum was presided over by Xie Kan, Chairman of the Society and professor of the School of Automation of GDUT. The President of the Society, Foreign Academician of Russian Academy of Engineering, Professor Xie Shengli of School of Automation of GDUT, Professor Wei Jianrui, Secretary of CPC of Guangzhou Women and Children Medical Center Committee, and Director Han Lanqing, Artificial Intelligence Innovation Center of Tsinghua Pearl River Delta Research Institute, respectively praised and affirmed the application of artificial intelligence in the medical field and the significance of the forum on behalf of the Society, medical academia and artificial intelligence industry, and agreed that the combination of medical and industrial can play an important role in the development of artificial intelligence and medical intelligence.
At the guest forum, Professor Kun Wang, Vice President of Cancer Hospital of Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital, gave a speech entitled "Application and Innovation of Artificial Intelligence in Medical Field", introduced in detail the advantages and potential of AI in disease diagnosis, treatment decision-making and rehabilitation nursing, and shared its application cases in Cancer Hospital of Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital. Professor Cheng Jiwen, deputy director of the Academic Affairs Office of Guangxi Medical University, shared "Practice and Innovation of Interactive Virtual Digital Doctors in the Whole Process Management of Science Popularization and Diagnosis and Treatment", which showed the wide application prospect of AI technology in the field of medical science popularization through vivid cases. Ms. Duran, President of Guangdong Artificial Intelligence Industry Association, delivered a speech entitled "Opportunities and Challenges of Large Model Application". From the perspective of industry development, she deeply analyzed the opportunities and challenges faced by AI large model in application, which brought new thinking and enlightenment to participants.
At the roundtable forum, experts had an in-depth discussion on the technological innovation brought by artificial intelligence, the impact of artificial intelligence on medical care, and the promotion of the combination of medical workers to the application of artificial intelligence in the medical field. Experts expressed their opinions and exchanged their views, which stimulated new sparks of ideas.
