Human Rights and Rule of Law Research Centre, Guangdong University of Technology, was launched

Recently, the Guangdong Federation of Social Sciences issued the "Reply on the Approval of "Human Rights and Rule of Law Research Centre of Guangdong University of Technology" as a Social Science Research Base in Guangdong Province". The "Human Rights and Rule of Law Research Centre of Guangdong University of Technology" was supervised by Prof. Du Chengming of GDUT for its application, and was approved to be a social science research base in Guangdong Province. This signifies another important progress in the construction of law discipline of the university.

 

The Centre integrates high-quality resources inside and outside the university, systematically researches on human rights theories with Chinese characteristics, human rights and rule of law, global human rights governance and other major issues. With the aim to serve the national human rights strategy, it endeavours to contribute to the development of human rights theories and progress of the cause of human rights in contemporary China, combining theoretical research and policy consulting, and strives to become a first-class special think-tank with significant influence in China.
