On August 30, the Yekaterinburg International University Sports Festival was held in Russia, under the framework of the Action Plan for the Year of Sports Exchange between China and Russia. Delegation of GDUT, coach Jia Jia, athletes Zhao Zhaoyan, Yao Meng, Yao Guanze formed a representative team to Russia to participate in table tennis competition of the the sports festival.
In the 6 days of competition, they won the champion of men's team and men's doubles and the second and third place in men's singles, and won the great honor for GDUT.
The Yekaterinburg International University Sports Festival is a great innovative sports meeting for university students. 3,000 athletes from 36 countries participated in the competition. With sports as the connection, 281 universities integrate their cultural display, university sports development and university sports life together.
