On August 18, the 11th Guangdong Governor Cup Industrial Design Competition award ceremony hosted by Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province and co-hosted by Guangdong University of Technology, is held in Guangzhou.
It is the first time for university to organize the completion and setting up an overseas competition area and the entries come from 28 countries and regions around the world, creating the largest number of entries in the history of " Governor's Cup ". The "Governor's Cup" competition began in 1999 as "Guangdong Excellent Industrial Design Award", and since its name was changed to "Governor's Cup" in 2008, it has been successfully held for 11 sessions and has become one of the most influential design and closest to industrial development competitions in China.
This competition vigorously enhance the ability of design innovation, divided into industrial design group, concept design group and product design group 3 groups, collected 36,000 pieces of work, and finally selected 30 diamond gold, silver and bronze awards, 40 individual awards and 806 winning awards, and the quantity and quality of the completion is to a new level.
