Recently, Kaishun WU, Associate Vice President of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), together with four people came to the school to exchange the management of scientific research. Chengyong Wang, Vice President of GDUT, met with the guests in Conference Room 702 of the Administration Building of Higher Education Mega Center Campus, and relevant personnel from the Scientific Research Management Department, the Humanities and Social Sciences Department and the Science and Technology Department attended the discussion.
On behalf of the school, Wang welcomed the visit of HKUST(GZ), and introduced the general situation of the school’s development from the philosophy, orientation and objectives, focusing on the independent innovation and industry-driven scientific innovation.
The Scientific Research Department of HKUST(GZ) introduced the construction and development of the school from the aspects of school development planning, discipline layout and research direction, research team and research platform.
The two sides exchanged views on the construction and management of national and provincial key major platforms, the cultivation of major landmark achievements, scientific research evaluation and incentive mechanism, discussed the next cooperation plan, and exchanged souvenirs.
