On June 19, 2023, the Forum on Global Governance & Inaugural Ceremony of Academy of Global Governance and Area Studies of Guangdong University of Technology ,hosted by GDUT and sponsored by its School of Foreign Languages was held at University Town Campus, GDUT.
Hu Qintai, Secretary of the School Party Committee, Chen Zhuowu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and relevant department heads attended the conference. Other guests include :Yang Jiemian, Director of the Academic Advisory Committee of the Shanghai Institute for International Studies, member of the Foreign Policy Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and recipient of Special allowance from The State Council; Yang Huifang, Director of the Exchange and Cooperation Office of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology; Jiang Shixue, a researcher at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences; Wang Ye, Senior Advisor of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in China, Zhao Longyue, Dean of the School of International Governance Innovation of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Wu Hongying, Dean of the Institute of Area Studies of Hubei University, and other more than 50 experts attend the conference. The conference is chaired by Pan Zhen, Executive Dean of the Institute of Global Governance and Areas Studies of Guangdong University of Technology.
