On October 23, U.S. NEWS released the 2020 world university rankings. GDUT ranks 103rd in mainland universities and 1112 in the world universities, which is higher than that in 2019 (ranking 110th in mainland China, 1159 in the world). In the U.S. News 2020 World University Engineering ranking released at the same time, a total of 115 universities in mainland China are on the list. GDUT ranks 45th in mainland universities and 268 in the world, which is higher compared with 2019 (53rd in mainland universities and 363 in the world).
Of the top 200 universities in computer science in the world this year, 48 universities in mainland China are on the list. GDUT is on the list for the first time, which ranks 42nd in mainland universities and 194th in the world.
