On August 26-27, the 2020 development strategy seminar of GDUT was held in the University Town Campus, focusing on the theme of "forging first-class teachers and cultivating first-class talents". The university leaders, members of Academic Committee, teacher representatives attended the seminar.
On the morning of the 26th, President Qiu Xueqing presided over the seminar. Yu Xinli, deputy director of Office of Strategic Planning of Shanghai Jiaotong University, was invited to give a keynote lecture on discipline construction; Vice presidents Luan Tiangang and Yu Lin made keynote speeches on talent team construction and the development plan of GDUT during the 14th Five Year Plan period; On the afternoon of the 26th, the participants were divided into six groups, and had focused discussion on the theme of the seminar.
On the morning of the 27th, the group representatives summarized and reported the group discussion at the meeting. Hu Qintai, Secretary of the University Party Committee, and Qiu Xueqing, President, delivered speeches. Vice President Luan Tiangang presided over the meeting.
