On the afternoon of October 13, Secretary Cao Junming and Deputy Secretary Lin Xiaomin of CPC Committee of Guangdong Ocean University, came to visit our university along with their delegation. Hu Qintai, Secretary of CPC Committee, and Chen Liangyou, Deputy Secretary of CPC Committee of GDUT welcomed the guests and had an in-depth discussion and communication with them. The responsible personnel from relevant departments of both sides attended the discussion.
Hu Qintai expressed a warm welcome to Cao Junming and his delegation. He gave a brief introduction of the opportunities and challenges facing GDUT. Our university will further gather resources, attract and cultivate high-level talents, and build an advanced platform in order to accelerate the construction of "first-rate" high-level university. He mentioned that Guangdong Ocean University had a long history and distinctive features and he hoped that both universities could further facilitate mutual communication and cooperation in the future.
Chen Liangyou introduced in detail the features and the basic information of running the university, the achievements of the 13th Five-Year Plan, as well as the planning of Party development and ideological and political work in line with the 14th Five-Year Plan.
Cao Junming expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the warmhearted reception. He also introduced the history, current situation of school running, plans for Party development as well as ideological and political work of Guangdong Ocean University. He further expressed his appreciation for the rapid development of GDUT and hoped to learn from our experience of school management in order to accelerate the development of Guangdong Ocean University.
