The grant ceremony of Professor Li Xin Education Foundation was held at Guangdong University of Technology on November 11. Professor Li Xin awarded grant to a total of 16 students with financial difficulties from the Experimental School of Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County and GDUT. At the ceremony, he encouraged the students to ensure all-round development and cherish time.
Professor Li Xin, who is 97 years old, is a communist with firm patriotic belief. Since its establishment of the Foundation in 2007, Professor Li Xin has granted nearly 200 students during 14 years, with a cumulative grant of 340,000 yuan.
Chen Weimin, vice president of Guangdong University of Technology, said that Professor Li is like a running teenager with a vigorous heart. He is our role model. He added that GDUT will continue to make efforts to do a good job in the Education Development Foundation, attract more people who care about education to provide more help for students to grow up.
