On November 18, Clarivate Analytics released the Highly Cited Researchers 2020 List, which includes 6,167 highly cited researchers from all fields in more than 60 countries.
In 2020, a total of 8 researchers from GDUT were named, 2 more than that in 2019, and the number of researchers named ranked 20th in China, 2 places ahead compared to that in 2019.
The selected scholars are mainly from computer science, engineering and interdisciplinary fields, namely Li Hongyi (twice), Liu Derong, Liu Zhi, Rui Xianhong, Xie Shengli, Lu Renquan and Zhou Qi.
