The 2021 Guangdong University Tennis Championship and the preliminary tennis match of the 11th Guangdong University Games kicked off in the University Town Campus of South China Normal University from November 11 to 15. The tennis top event hosted by the Department of Education of Guangdong Province attracted 756 athletes from 71 universities in the province to compete for the 12 qualifications of tennis individual events in next year's provincial University Games.
GDUT won the first prizes of first Division’s total score and group B's total score. GDUT Successfully entered the finals of the 11th Guangdong University Games in 2022. Coaches from GDUT, Shi Tingrong and He Guangzhi, were awarded as "excellent coaches" of group B.
