According to the latest data of Basic Scientific Index Database (Essential Science Indicators, hereinafter referred to as ESI) on January 13,2022, the Engineering of GDUT has successfully entered the top 1 ‰ of ESI ranking, which is the third engineering discipline in Guangdong Province of the top 1 ‰ after Sun Yat-Sen University and South China University of Technology. At present, only 5 universities in Guangdong province have 12 disciplines ranked in the top 1 ‰ of ESI. So far, GDUT has Engineering, Materials Science, Computer Science, Chemistry, Environment / Ecology ranked in the ESI global top 1%.
