On the morning of May 13th, President Li Xingwei of Macau University of Science and Technology and his delegation visited GDUT to discuss the future cooperation between the two universities. President Qiu Xueqing, Vice President Yu Lin, and Yang Zhifeng, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and honorary president of School of Ecology, Environment and Resources met with the guests in Conference Room 702, Administration Building.
President Qiu Xueqing expressed his welcome to the guests on behalf of the university. He introduced the recent development of GDUT and said both universities had similar academic backgrounds thus we had a good cooperation foundation. He hoped that both sides could further integrate high quality resources in talent introduction, discipline construction, and scientific research platform to make due contributions to the development of Greater Bay Area.
President Li Xingwei expressed his appraisal for appreciation for the recent development of GDUT and its achievements in talent training. He introduced the discipline characteristics, talent training and scientific research development of Macau University of Science and Technology. He said both universities had similar DNA and extensive cooperation space. He hoped both sides can establish comprehensive cooperative relations to realize complementary advantages, and make positive contributions to the innovation of science and technology development.
