Wu Weiqiang, Executive Director and CEO of Phoenix Education Group and Lyu Zihui, Executive Vice President, accompany by their delegation visited Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT) last Friday (July 8th) and exchanged views on the training mode of integration of industries and education with Hu Qintai, Secretary of the Party Committee of GDUT, Luan Tiangang, Vice President, and Zhang Xueli, Vice President. Heads from Office of Party Committee, Office of the President, Office for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, Academic Programs Division and relevant schools also attended the meeting after the guests visited School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Hu emphasized the school’s mission to base in Guangdong and serve the province. As GDUT always values internationalization, he hoped to strengthen cooperation with Phoenix Education to deliver school-business collaborative education, and to attract more high-level international students to study here. Luan introduced GDUT’s developments and achievements from four respects: big, practical, specialized and fast.
Wu expressed his appreciation for such impressive outcomes at GDUT and introduced the group’s development philosophy of “in Hong Kong, by the Greater Bay Area, and to the world” and its presence in the education market. He hoped that through a deep integration of school and business, both sides will give full play to their respective advantages to offer high-quality resources and a new model of integration, fostering progressive new-engineering disciplines. Lyu demonstrated recent years’ achievements and experience of Phoenix Education in international education exchanges and cooperation as well as integration of industries and education in digital media.
This meeting has laid a solid foundation for promoting substantive cooperation between the two sides and realizing a successful model on integration of industries and education.
