Guangdong University of Technology opened its science camp for teenagers on July 16th, 2022, joined by 200 students and 20 teachers from 16 provinces, municipalities or autonomous regions including Tianjin, Hebei, Jiangxi and Xinjiang attending the opening ceremony virtually or onsite. Against the backdrop of Covid-19, this one-week science camp is mainly network-based in the form of a “virtual university town” combined with offline activities, such as online scientific research, visits to key laboratories, and lecture from prominent teachers.
