The 14th Global Chinese Chemical Engineers Symposium was held in Guangzhou during August 12-15, joined by more than 500 domestic and international first-class Chinese experts, including 35 academicians to discuss the latest cutting-edge research questions in the international chemical industry, promoting international exchanges and cooperation, interdisciplinary integration as well as collaborative innovation in industry-university-research.
The Global Chinese Chemical Engineers Symposium, first held in Canada in 2009, is an internationally influential academic conference that gathers experts and scholars in the chemical field.
This symposium is jointly organized by Guangdong University of Technology and South China University of Technology. Qiu Xueqing, President of Guangdong University of Technology, commented that this is the first time that a global seminar for Chinese chemical scholars has been held in Guangdong and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, which is of great significance. He believes the seminar will bring new opportunities to the development of chemical engineering.
