In order to help new faculty adapt to the work environment, GDUT held the 2022 New Faculty Orientation Ceremony on October 14 in the lecture hall (main venue) at University Town Campus, virtual side-venue at Jieyang Campus. Hu Qintai, Secretary of the School’s Party Committee, and President Qiu Xueqing gave lectures on teachers’ ethics, school history and facts to 288 new teachers dressed in uniforms with school badges. Vice President Luan Tiangang presided over the ceremony.
All new members solemnly signed the Commitment Letter of Teachers' Morality before representatives from the two campuses submitted it to Secretary Hu, a move to demonstrate their aspirations to be an excellent teacher at GDUT.
The afternoon was focused on the school systems as heads of the Personnel Division, Academic Affairs Division, Scientific Research Management Department, Financial Division, and Laboratory and Equipment Management Division explained their regulations one by one, so that new-comers can get familiar with relevant procedures while starting a new journey here.
