Personal Introduction

Dr. Yu Rong is currently a special professor of the 100 Talent Program of Guangdong University of Technology as well as a doctoral supervisor in the school. His main research interests are Artificial Intelligence, Edge Computing and Internet of Things, which are applied in fields like intelligent transportation, smart grid, smart home, intelligent medical treatment, etc. He has presided over more than 20 scientific research projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, major and key projects of science and technology plan of Guangdong Province. More than 100 of his academic papers have been published, and the total number of citations is over 4000 (Google citation), among which more than 50 papers published in IEEE high-level journals and magazines, and 7 (including 3 1 ‰ hot papers) were selected as highly cited papers of ESI. More than 50 invention patents have been applied and 18 authorized. He also took the lead in the formulation of two national standards, which have been officially promulgated and implemented. A total of over 40 postgraduate and doctoral students have been trained (over 20 have graduated). His outstanding graduates have won the title of "100 excellent graduate Party members" and "star of self-improvement of the Chinese college students".
