Personal Introduction

Professor Wang has been engaged in the research field of hard coating and high temperature protective coating. With the development of surface protective coating (via physical vapor deposition technology), he contributes to solve the problems such as the friction and wear, high temperature oxidation and corrosion that have baset the industry of high speed cutting tools and precision parts.

Main Honor

Prof. Wang was selected as the distinguished Professor of "Pearl River Scholar" of Guangdong Province, the National High-level Talents Program, the National Science Foun for Excellent Young Scholars, the Humboldt Scholar of Germany, the first batch of Excellent Young Scholars of Shenyang Branch of the Chinese Academy of Science, and has won the HyMaP Mid-Carer Award.

Main Achievements

His research filed includes the systematic study of advanced coatings for cutting tools and moulds and protective coatings for automobile and aerospace hot-end components. He has presided over many research projects (in total values more than 10 million RMB), published more than 100 SCI papers, applied for and been granted one US invention patent and more than 20 Chinese invention patents. In addition, Prof. Wang has been invited as Session Chariman and keynote speaker for conferences at home and abroad.
