Personal Introduction

Ying Chen,professor, the dean of Materials and Energy at Guangdong University of technology. She has been named in the national project of Tens of Millions of Talents, as a young and middle-aged expert with the outstanding contributions. She was also enrolled in Guangdong Province Special Support Program as a scientific and technological innovation leader in 2018.

Main Honors

1. Awarded the "Hundred and Ten" Provincial Training Object honorary title in 2008 ;

2. Awarded the leading talent of Science and Technology Innovation in Guangdong Special Support Plan in 2017;

3. Selected into the National "Hundreds of Millions" Talent Project in 2019, and awarded the title of "Young and Middle-aged Experts with Outstanding Contributions"

Main Achievements

She is the PIs in 27 projects founded by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Ministry of Science and Technology, and Guangdong Province. She has achieved a lot of excellent scientific achievements: more than 140 scientific papers have been published in international journals, such as Appiled Energy, Energy, Energy Conversion and management and so on. About 30 patents were authorized. She proposed Liquid-Separation Condensation (LSC) technology to enhance condensation heat transfer and successfully applied it in air conditioners and heat pump water heaters to realize energy and material saving. The LSC technology is stand at the world, and was enrolled in 2019 Air Conditioning Energy-saving and Environmental Protection Technology Catalogues published by China Refrigeration Institute
