Personal Introduction

Cai Yanpeng, born in 1978, Ph.D. in engineering, University of Regina, Canada, vice president, professor and doctoral supervisor of the Environmental and Ecological Engineering Institute, Guangdong University of technology. National Science and technology innovation leading scientist of "ten thousand talents plan", young and middle-aged science and technology innovation leading scientist of the Ministry of Science and Technology, winner of National Science Foundation for Outstanding Young Scholars, National High-level Young Talent, He is the associate editor of the journalof Ecol. Eng.as well as the guest editor of Adv. Water Resour.、Hydrol. Earth Syst. Sci.. Focusing on "comprehensive regulation of water ecosystem", alongwith the main research line of "water resources system analysis-water environment evaluation and simulation -water ecological regulation", the comprehensive research based on multi-disciplinary integration is carried out, which promotes the integration of environmental science, ecology, hydrology, etc., and provides a new perspective for the research of management and regulation of water ecosystem in changing environment.

Main Achievements

He has presided over or participated in more than 20 domestic and foreign scientific research projects, including national key research and development projects, 973 projects of the Ministry of science and Technology, projects of the National Natural Science Foundation Committee, projects of the Beijing Municipal Natural Science Foundation Committee, projects of the United Nations Development Programme and projects of the Canadian Natural Science and Engineering Research Foundation, etc., and he has been awarded the national outstanding self funded international student award of the Ministry of Education and Research and Design Award of Canada International Development Research Center , etc. More than 190 papers have been published in Water Resource. Res. Renewable Sustainable Energy Rev. and other international journals, including more than 160 SCI papers. The published papers have been cited by web of science for more than 3000 times, and the personal H index is 31. He won one provincial and ministerial first prize (ranking the first), one second prize (ranking the second). In 2018, he got the outstanding scientist award of the International Society of Environmental Information Science , and the first batch of outstanding youth fund of Beijing Municipal Natural Science Foundation Committee.
