Personal Introduction

Wang Tiejun is second-class professor, doctoral supervisor and the innovative leading talent of the National Ten Thousand Talents Program. From 2006 to 2017, Prof Wang has been the director of Biomass Catalytic Conversion Laboratory at Guangzhou Institute of Energy, Chinese Academy of Science. In July 2017, he transferred to Guangdong University of Technology as dean of School of Light Industry and Chemical Engineering.

Prof. Wang has studied and been a visiting scholar in Tohoku University, Tokyo University of Technology, University of Western Ontario and KTH Royal Institute of Technology. He is mainly engaged in the research of biomass energy chemical industry and hydrogen energy, and has presided over more than 30 national and provincial key scientific research projects attached to National Key Fund, National 863 Program, National 973 Program, National Major Instrument Development and National Key Research Development program, etc. Till now, Prof. Wang has published more than 150 publications in high-level journals including Advanced Functional Materials, Applied Energy, Chemical Communication, Journal of Catalysis, Green Chemistry, Applied Catalysis B: Environmental as first/corresponding author, and has obtained 28 authorotive national invention patents, including 1 US and 1 European patent. The research won the first prize of Science and Technology (Nature), the second prize of Science and Technology Progress of Guangdong Province, and the "Blue Sky" Award of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.

Main Achievements

Prof. Wang has published more than 190 SCI papers in international journals in the filed of energy chemistry and catalysis, among which 150 are the first author/corresponding author contributions and have been cited for more than 3000 times. Also, he has published five books, and has obtained 28 authorized invention patents, including 1 US patent and 1 European patent.
