Personal Introduction

Yong Chen has been engaged in the utilization of organic solid waste resources, the research and development of biomass energy. In addition, he focuses on the high-value utilization of household waste, livestock manure, agricultural and forest residues by thermo-chemical conversion, physical and chemical conversion.He serves as editors for 7 books including Solid Waste Energy Utilization and China's Energy Development Roadmap to 2050, and participated in the compilation of 11 books. In 2008 and 2011, he won the second prize of National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology and 4 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards respectively. In 2012, he won the Ho Leung Ho Lee Science and Technology Progress Award. He was elected a deputy to the tenth and eleventh NPC. In 2013, he was elected academician of The Chinese Academy of Engineering.
