On July 31, the 2024 Construction Industry Youth Exchange Program in Great Bay Area (Session at GDUT) was successfully held GDUT. Young leaders of the construction industry in Hong Kong, students from universities and secondary schools in Hong Kong, representatives from the Development Bureau of Hong Kong SAR Government, the Hong Kong Construction Industry Council and other organizations attended the event.
Zhang Xueli, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC GDUT Committee and deputy school-level cadre, extended a warm welcome to the arrival of the Hong Kong delegation. In his speech, Zhang Xueli introduced the history of the "Dongshen Water Supply Project". He said that GDUT will have in-depth communication and cooperation with the Development Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government and the Hong Kong Construction Industry Council, give full play to their respective resources and advantages, and work together to create a model of cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong in serving the construction of the Great Bay Area.
In his speech, Meng Jiarong, Chairman of the Youth Affairs Committee of the Hong Kong Construction Industry Council, pointed out that GDUT has strong strength in the construction field and has a lot of room for cooperation with many enterprises and organizations in Hong Kong. He hopes that this activity will further enhance understanding, lay a solid foundation for future cooperation, and sincerely invite its students to exchange and study in Hong Kong.
Visiting representatives and students also participated in the experiential education of structural model making, and visited the national innovation and entrepreneurship education practice base and Museum of School History , and the Memorial Hall of the Revolution of 1911.
