Bernard Meunier is currently Distinguished Professor of the Guangdong University of Technology where he has established his laboratory for organic synthesis and discovery of anti-Alzheimer's disease drugs. Since joining GDUT, He has made numerous contributions in scientific research, international cooperation and talents training program and was awarded 2019 Friendship Award granted by the government of China, Guangdong provincial Science and Technology Award in 2020, and Knight of the Legion of Honor (2006), to name just a few.
Recently, Sci-Tech Finance Monthly conducted an in-depth interview with Professor Bernard Meunier. Professor has shared his own stories about AD drug research and development, as well as observations on the drugs discovery in China and suggestions on how international experts better participate in China’s biomedical innovation process.
Professor Bernard Meunier has made lots of achievements in the field of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and bioinorganic chemistry. He holds more than 30 invention patents and has published over 400 articles on international publications. He has been elected as Member of the French Academy of Sciences since 1999 and has been the president of the academy (2015-2016). He is also the Foreign Member of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
