The School of Applied Mathematics is the school of science of the University. At present, the School has an effective teaching and research team with 76 teachers, 10 professors, 37 associate professors, 22 master's tutors and 1 provincial outstanding teacher.
In the past three years, the School has undertaken 3 national projects and 18 provincial projects and obtained research funding amounting to about RMB 2.5 million. At the same time, over 200 theses, 5 monographs and textbooks have been published and 1 second prize for provincial scientific and technological research has been received.
Presently, the School has 5 master's degree programs and 2 undergraduate programs. Altogether over 1200 undergraduate and graduate students are studying in the School. In recent years, its students have participated in various science and technology competitions and received 12 international prizes, 62 national prizes and over 380 provincial prizes.
